Nasrul wants customer-friendly electric vehicle recharging policy
Nasrul Hamid, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, has advised the authorities to create a customer-friendly electric car (EV) charging policy, as EVs are expected to dominate the future transport sector. He said this while speaking on Sunday at a virtual meeting about Guidelines for Electric Vehicle Recharging. Nasrul stated that the location of charging stations and the type of vehicles should all be considered when drafting a policy for charging electric vehicles. Nasrul stated that electric vehicles will be the dominant transport option in the future. The average petrol-powered vehicle's cost to travel 1,000 km is Tk5,375 while an electric vehicle will run Tk1,250.
